An acclaimed, experienced and versatile sports broadcaster, Aly Vance (nee Rowell) is a regular face on the major networks and has covered a variety of sports all over the world.

Aly, a former international athlete, has worked for broadcasters including CNN, BBC, Sky Sports, BT Sport and Channel 4.

Aly’s passion for sport saw her represent Great Britain in Modern Pentathlon and she was part of the GB Olympic training squad in the build-up to Beijing in 2008.

After graduating from Oxford University, she started her career in Sports Broadcasting in 2007, when joining BBC Wales TV and Radio.

Her work at the BBC led to scripting and reading sports bulletins for both BBC News and BBC Radio 5Live, while covering London 2012 for BBC Wales and Rio 2016 and Toyko 2020 for Olympic News Channel (OBS).

Her versatility has seen her cover a wide range of sports, from triathlons for Channel 4 to sailing for Eurosport and equestrian events for BT Sport and Sky Sports.

Her regular work on horseracing channel At The Races (Sky 415) saw CNN International appoint Aly in 2016 to present their horse racing coverage, including their 30 minute, magazine programme, Winning Post.

She has also hosted CNN's equestrian coverage, including the Global Champions Series, the world’s premier show jumping series, which took her on tour across locations such as Monaco, Paris, Miami, Hamburg, Shanghai, Doha and London.

In addition, Aly is a vastly experienced event host, and her CV includes the Olympia Horse Show, which was televised on BBC Red Button, while she also hosts proceedings from horseracing's summer festivals, such as Royal Ascot, the Investec Derby, the Cheltenham Festival and the Qatar Goodwood Festival, and is a regular visitor to the Middle East to host award ceremonies and TV coverage of some of the biggest horseracing events on the calendar.

Aly is available for TV presenting and reporting, event hosting, voice-over work, digital content creation, corporate events and hospitality.
